Brett’s extensive background spans residential, commercial, and industrial construction, and his passion for building extends beyond worksites—he’s also educated and mentored over 100 aspiring tradespeople through the March For Equity Vocational Education program.

Brett Melius brings over 25 years of construction industry expertise to every project. His deep understanding of the trade—from electrical systems and concrete work to structural framing and project management—makes him a respected leader both on the job site and in the classroom.
Brett’s career began as a laborer and evolved through decades of hands-on experience and professional growth. In addition to his leadership at Tight Knit Builders, Brett is also a dedicated educator. Through a partnership with March For Equity Vocational Education, he has trained and mentored over 100 students, many of whom were justice-involved or returning citizens seeking a second chance. His work is a testament to the power of construction not just as a trade, but as a tool for transformation. Brett has a Bachelor of Arts in Photography and a Master’s in Construction Management.
